The Mercy

The real story of amateur navigator Donald Crowhurst has intrigued and perplexed the world for decades. First it was on paper, with the newspapers that told their strange journey in real time in the 60s, to later go through books and a documentary in 2006 entitled Deep Water. Now, curiously, two feature films have been given the task of telling this true story on the big screen: Crowhurst in 2017 and An extraordinary trip in 2018. An extraordinary journey is the version of the events of Oscar-nominated director James Marsh (The theory of everything) from a script by Scott Z. Burns (Contagion).
